Back in the year 2004, after getting back our PSLE t-score, i was unsure of which school to go as you know, back then we were still kiddish and any school would be ok. So upon stepping out from GRPS, i received a pamphlet on this school titled WSSS. The school seemed old as published in the pamphlet. But it stated that a new building was awaiting them. So without second thought, i rushed home and wrote WSSS as my 2ND choice. 1st choice was CCKSS. But fat hope, my t-score was atrocious! I don't care about the 3rd 4Th 5Th 6Th choices. So i went to submit my school form. Days passed, the result was out. I got into WSSS which i don't quite like at that moment as i began to think far. I would be somehow bullied due to my small body frame. I was hoping to get into CCKSS as my sister was studying there. I had a deep thought. WSSS ain't that bad either right, so why not try it out? So when school term started, i donned a big red converse school bag which was kinda big for my small body frame. Skinny-scrawny i would say. I donned a super huge size uniform that it lasted me until sec 4. haha! Imagine how big it was back in sec 1. Hair was side-parking. haha! Flat hair also. Styled using gel or mousse. That was sec 1. Voice had not broke so imagine my voice was like a girly girly type. LOL. I went to enrol myself in shooting club(air rifle club then) as i had this weird thinking. We, in Singapore cannot get a chance to shoot freely like in the WESTERN part of the world until you get into NS. So this was going to be a good chance for me and the others too. So i began to train very hard to get into the school team. Eventually i did. Got 4th for a novice was already a good achievement then. Back then in sec 1 also, i fought with someone. A girl. Who used to tease me. I know I'm not the type of guy girl would look out for. Cross-eyed boy yea. I can't stand people who insult others. But sadly, it happened to me. I tell you, back then if i cannot stand it, i turn nasty. No one is perfect. Simple. It was a once-and-for-all fight that lasted for quite long. Physical not verbal. That was how bad i was back then. Ever since that moment, i swore not to fight even if they got on my nerves. There's always a way out for everything. So that was the only incident that occurred to me in sec 1. Towards the end, everyone gathered in the school hall for some post exam activities. Then we got back our report book. I was jubilant as i made a vast improvement if i were to compare with my PSLE grades. I was promoted to sec 2 but upped by 1 class. 13 people got it. Also, at that point of time, they announced the nominated student council. I thought i was selected but no. Then, came this 2 sec 2 lady by the name of Zhenying and Azura. They brought me the form to fill up and i thanked them. Then i made a promise not to disappoint them. That was all for my sec 1 year.
Sec 2, first day of school, every nominated student councillor was under 'probation' for a good solid 6 months before we officially declared ourselves as a student council. Later, everyone was happy to receive the tie as it looks good on them. Seriously. That was also the time where my academic result sky-rocket. Everything seemed to be in placed. From cca to studies to shooting to extra things. Everything was smooth sailing. That was also the year that i got the academic award. All this while i thought i was imbecile due to my poor PSLE grades which demoralised me a lot. Sec1 was where i made a turning point in my academic. So i was an active member in the shooting club. Represented school on a numerous shooting competitions. Our achievement also improved tremendously. Little did i expect we could win so many medals. Ain't boasting. So that was all for sec 2. I know it was quite boring.
Sec 3, everyone changed. All have passed puberty stage for some who were a little late like me. HAHAHA! Our friends were all separated into 3 different class. I was quite saddened by it as my best friends were not in the same class and taking the same subject as me. But still, our class were side by side. I'm just happy for that 'gift'. Also, everything fall in place for me. I got the vp post in the s.c executive committee(exco), which happened to be a surprised as i thought i could never make it. But it happened. That was also the time where my young 'career' in west spring began to soar. Thank god! I started socialising more with the people around me. Especially the shooting club and student council. Still, i did not neglected my friends. I treated them equally somehow. I don't want to hear that only council can be friends with council. That is all plain shit! Then i don't know what happened, i became close to this shooter cum councillor J.T. haha. Funny i know. I don't quite remember what exactly took place that we both became buddies suddenly. we went shooting together, shot beside each other. If i was late, she would wait or rather reserved lane for me and waited for my presence then we shoot together. We also went to break together in the interval. Exchanged sms quite often. This continued for a year.
Sec 4, when i found out she actually had her heart for someone whom i know, i was dejected but i put on a brave front not to worry her. Shan't disclosed it here. I felt that back then, WE WERE like a couple. Seriously. I thought that everything we went through was for a purpose. But sadly, it didn't. But i moved on. Its ok, those moment spent together will be etched in my heart. I even joked on her that what would it be if we were together. But i hack care after that. Zul, Hock Yew, Bonfurt, Isaac, Sebastian, Fadlurrahman, Faisal were all my closed friends after that. But i stayed clear from them as I got N level to sit for. So i focused on it. Eventually i passed with a satisfying score of 7. Was able to make it to sec 5. Everyone was happy for me. But i was dejected that my target was not met. A score of 5.
So came sec 5, i vowed to work harder for the o levels. Which i eventually did. Then came this girl. Also J.A. I admired her for (i forget). So i thought maybe the previous one had somehow failed, this one would be ok. But it was the same. We went out on new year's day to catch a movie and bowled after that. Subsequently, we exchanged sms and had her welfare at heart. Then during shooting comp, i would invite her over for a game of bowl or 2 after that and we bowled. That was another sweet memories. Went to celebrate zhewei's and bonfurt's birthday together. Then, we went home. All of it was fun and memorable. So up till here, im waiting again. Hoping, we can talk things out after O. In this year also was my most happiest moment. After i began socialising, i know a lot more people and are more close to them now. We even formed our own study group and i will never forget the time spent at ZCC mugging like mad dogs! haha. We even went to ECP for a cycling session to release stress after the prelims. Hoping that it would eased our brain. Which is the case now. As for J, i don't know how she feels about me but one thing i know clearly, i adore her. Let the story continues...
